What is the Google Code-In?
‘Google Code-in (GCI)’ is an annual programming competition hosted by Google Inc. that allows pre-university students to complete tasks specified by various, partnering open source organizations. The contest was originally the Google Highly Open Participation Contest, but in 2010, the format was modified into its current state. Students that complete tasks win certificates and T-shirts. Each organization also selects two grand prize award winners who will earn a trip to Google’s Headquarters located in Mountain View, California. [See more details]
How I found it?
OK. I found about GCI from my school and since that day I visited and looked about it daily. Finally, that’s the day registration opens, I went there too earlier and looked it & reloaded it – reloaded it and looked it. OK. Registration is opened at November 28, 2017 at 22:30 (Sri Lanka Standard Time). I went to registration form and filled it. Nice! I claimed first task. That is the day I got a start learning about GCI and lot of other valuable things.
In the GCI we are not alone. There are organizations which has mentors who helps you for tasks that you have to done there. ‘FOSSAISA’ is a one of best organization among them.
What is the FOSSASIA?
I’ll say. ‘FOSSASIA‘ is an non-profitable organization that Bringing together an inspiring community across borders and ages to form a better future with Open Technologies and ICT. They organizing training programs and coding meet ups for thousands of young kids, Open Tech developers and designers every year. They Connect Open Tech Communities across Asia with Developers, Designers and Makers from Around the World in the FOSSASIA Network. They cooperating with the most forward thinking Open Tech innovators and companies of the world.
What are the technologies and projects of FOSSASIA that I interested?
I like all technologies and projects of FOSSASIA. But I most like project is ‘SUSI.AI‘. That’s is an artificial intelligence.
Great app! And ‘loklak‘ is a good application for works with social.
‘Eventyay‘ is another best project of FOSSASIA.
